Enabling Space 6 | Prototyping

Fast and efficient learning is realised by a series of forced errors. The process of prototyping provides for a lab-type context and a space in which the aspects of the innovation project are approximated by “fast-cycle learning”. The ideas developed in the previous phases materialise for the first time. Constant checking, falsifying and adapting the aspects of the innovation project lead to practical innovation. The experience gained in these learning processes is the basis for implementing the innovation project.

This phase has the character of a workshop where everyone is busily arranging, replacing, fiddling about, presenting and analysing prototypes, tuning, discussing, testing and rejecting. There is an atmosphere of general activity, of success and disappointment, of constructive criticism and openness for learning from the unexpected. The innovation project is turned into a concrete prototype.
